“I’m fighting for the truth,” [Maleek] said over and over again. In his telling, the truth lies between turning his deepest ache into his most powerful motivator, and it comes to the fore whenever he meets his friends, his family, and in particular, his son, within the brown walls of that same visiting room. “One day,” Maleek said, the truth will help him “build a relationship with him and them outside these prison walls.”
We at FCC are fundraising to support the efforts to free Maleek Jones and expose the corruption within the New Haven Police Department and ADA's office that stole men like Maleek from our communities and from their families. Your GoFundME donation will go to reimburse his family that has spent upward of $60,000 on his defense, and on future fees, as the fight continues.
